Housing affordability has now improved for a record 10th consecutive quarter—something we haven’t seen in years. Even with mortgage rates on the rise, the recent dip in home prices means that, as of now, payments are at 51.1% of the median income. In my experience working across Toronto and the GTA, I see how these numbers impact real buyers and sellers every day. Vancouver continues to be the least affordable market, but here in Ontario, the path forward still depends on income growth and steady home prices. As someone who’s helped hundreds of families navigate these changing tides, I know how important it is to stay informed and make the right move at the right time.
